Environmental

Hanatour dreams of a better world through sustainable travel,
and we are dedicated to making this dream comes true.

Sustainable Travel

Sustainable travel, also known as sustainable tourism or responsible travel, means making choices that reduce harm to the places we visit, focusing on preservation of the environment, society, and culture at the destinations. Important pillars of sustainable tour that travel planners should focus on include carbon neutrality, social inclusion, employment opportunities, and restoration and preservation of the natural and cultural environment. Hanatour guides travelers to choose responsible travel by interacting with local communities, taking full account of environmental impacts, and experiencing the local culture.

Sustainable Travel Guide

We created the Sustainable Travel Guide to show travelers how to respect and preserve wildlife, biodiversity, ecosystems and cultural diversity. Through this guide, as well as our sustainable tourism products, we hope to promote a culture of sustainable travel.

Hanatour’s Vision

At Hanatour, we are committed to helping travelers understand the potential negative impacts that may be caused and changing the way we travel for the better. Each responsible choice we make may not seem big on its own, but together we can establish a travel culture where the local community, environment, and travelers can all be happy.

Sustainable Travel Project

Sustainable travel involves a series of actions to protect and respect the environment, society, and culture, as well as developing tourism products.

Daum Stay: Jeju Island Vacant House Regeneration Project

Daum Stay is an empty house revitalization project initiated by Hanatour and Dazayo.
We practice sustainable travel in partnership with the local community by renovating abandoned houses on Jeju Island, and donating a portion of the proceeds to the local community.
